The Einhell GC-WW 6538 is built around a 650 W motor and a 20-litre steel pressure tank. This combination defines its character: a pump that moves water while building pressure for a steady supply. With a maximum delivery capacity of 3,800 litres per hour, it handles large volumes of clear water from wells, reservoirs, or shafts. This is a machine for feeding irrigation systems or toilet flushes – not for pumping contaminated or hot water.

The 650 W motor provides a delivery head of up to 36 metres, which corresponds to a maximum working pressure of 3.6 bar. Its maximum suction head is 8 metres. These figures apply to clear water up to 35° Celsius. Higher temperatures or cloudy water with particles will shorten the pump's lifespan. The integrated pressure switch activates the pump automatically when system pressure drops below 1.5 bar and switches it off again at 3 bar, maintaining a buffer in the pressure tank.

The pump housing uses robust castings for the suction and pressure connections. Both accept hoses with a 33.3 millimetre diameter – a 1-inch internal thread. A pressure gauge on the pump shows the current working pressure. Two plugs are directly accessible: one for filling the pressure tank with water before use, and a drain plug to remove condensate afterwards. The design is functional, prioritising robustness and maintenance.

The GC-WW 6538 works best as a fixed installation for clean water. Its 20-litre tank provides a reserve, so the pump doesn't need to start for every small demand, reducing wear. During operation, monitor the pressure gauge and adjust the switch-off pressure via the pressure switch if needed. After use, drain any condensate to prevent corrosion in the steel tank. The 1.4-metre power cable requires a nearby socket.

While the maximum suction head is 8 metres, the pump performs best with the water source as close to the suction point as possible.
