The Bosch UniversalGardenTidy 2300: quiet tidying, three modes

This leaf blower combines blowing, vacuuming and shredding in one device. Switching between modes is done with a quick-release mechanism, without tools. The ProSilence technology reduces the sound power by 75% to 99 dB (A) — noticeably quieter than a classic blower, although it remains garden equipment. With a power of 2300 W and a blowing speed of 285 km/h, it moves leaves across the lawn with ease.

What the 50-litre collection bag does for you

The collection bag has a capacity of 50 litres and is fitted with water-repellent dirt deflectors: water and dirt slide to the ground, so the bag does not become unnecessarily heavy. The metal fan is made for long-term use, and the larger spiral makes clearing blockages simple and safe. With a weight of 3.4 kg and a cable length of 2.5 metres, you work nimbly, but you do stay within reach of a power socket — if you have a large garden without a power point nearby, you will need to factor in extension leads.

The variable speed in both blowing and vacuuming modes gives control for fine work, such as along borders. Not for those looking for a cordless device: this model runs on the mains, which delivers more power but also comes with a cable. The shoulder strap in the packaging distributes the weight during longer jobs.
