The Foodsaver FSV005 Profiline is a compact vacuum packaging system. With a 140-watt motor and three functions, it packs both dry and moist food.

The Foodsaver FSV005 Profiline is a stainless steel vacuum sealer that combines three core functions. These are 'seal only', 'vacuum & seal', and a separate setting for wet or dry food. With a power of 140 watts, it draws air from bags and seals them airtight. It is a comprehensive system that comes standard with film and bags – ready to use.

Operation and practical functions of the vacuum sealer

Handy indicator lights show the progress during operation. The machine switches off automatically after use, saving energy. Operation is via buttons – a direct, mechanical approach. A notable design choice: the base has a non-slip layer. This keeps the unit firmly in place during vacuum sealing, which is practical on wet or smooth worktops.

Daily use and included accessories

The FSV005 comes complete. The set includes a film roll measuring 28 by 304 centimetres, ten vacuum bags in two sizes and a vacuum hose. This hose is intended for use with FoodSaver fresh-keeping containers. The machine has no built-in cord storage – the cable remains visible. And there is no mention of overheating protection. This is a point to keep in mind during intensive, consecutive use.

The manual is in Dutch. The machine measures 40 by 24.5 by 12 centimetres and weighs 3.69 kilograms including all parts.
