OMRON VIVA – a clinically validated body composition scale
The OMRON VIVA uses bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) technology. This is a clinically validated method for assessing body composition.
The scale measures six parameters: visceral fat, body fat percentage, skeletal muscle mass, basal metabolic rate (BMR), BMI, and weight. This provides a more complete picture than weight alone. Measurements are taken barefoot on the weighing platform – the scale must be placed on a hard, flat floor for an accurate reading.
Results can be read on the display or in the accompanying OMRON connect app. The app, compatible with iOS and Android, helps track progress. The scale stores data for 30 people and switches off automatically.
