Philips HF3519/01 Wake-up Light – Natural waking, white

The Philips HF3519/01 simulates a sunrise: the light gradually brightens over thirty minutes, from soft red through orange to bright yellow. That 300 lux light intensity is designed to wake your body before the sound kicks in. The display dims itself — in the dark it becomes less bright, so it doesn't disturb your sleep.

A tap on the device activates the snooze mode; after nine minutes the sound starts again. Two alarm times can be set, handy for two people with different rhythms. The light simulation is adjustable between 20 and 40 minutes, and there is also a sunset function that slowly dims the light to prepare you for the night.

This wake-up light is aimed at people who struggle to get going and are looking for a more natural waking process. The combination of light and sound is scientifically researched; 92% of adult users say it wakes them in a pleasant way. But if you are used to a harsh beep and have little patience for an alarm that starts glowing thirty minutes in advance, this might not be your rhythm.
