The Bosch PKS 66 AF is a hand-held circular saw with a 1,600-watt motor and 66 millimetres of cutting depth in wood. That's enough for most sawing jobs around the house.
The saw comes with a guide rail for straight cuts along the full length. The no-load speed of 5,000 rpm is constant – the motor holds its speed under load. Note: this is a corded model, so you'll need to work within reach of a power socket. The included Speedline Wood blade is designed specifically for wood and cuts through planks, skirting boards and beams quickly.
The design is practical: a softgrip handle for control, a safety switch to prevent accidental start-up, and a spindle lock for changing the blade. The CleanSystem Box collects sawdust – handy for indoor work. Cutting depth adjusts via a quick-release clamp, from 0 to 66 mm at 90° or up to 48 mm at a 45° mitre angle.
