Bosch PKS 66 AF – circular saw with 66 mm cutting depth
The Bosch PKS 66 AF is a hand-held circular saw with a 1,600 watt motor and a maximum cutting depth of 66 millimetres in wood.
The motor runs at 5,000 revolutions per minute under no load. In practice: enough power for planks, skirting boards, doors and beams. The included guide rail helps with straight cuts over longer distances. But it is a corded model – you are tied to a mains socket. The cutting depth is adjusted via a quick-release clamp, also for mitre cuts up to 48 millimetres at 45 degrees.
The saw blade is a Speedline Wood, 190 millimetres in diameter with a 30 millimetre bore. The integrated spindle lock makes changing easy. The safety switch with double-sided start lock prevents accidental starting. The soft grip feels comfortable in the hand – at 5.4 kilograms, the saw is stable but not light.
