The Intenso Top M.2 SSD replaces a traditional hard drive with flash memory. This delivers faster boot times – but requires a motherboard with an M.2 SATA connector.
The drive achieves specified read speeds of up to 550 MB/s and write speeds of up to 500 MB/s. In practice, this can mean a boot time of under 20 seconds, where a hard drive often takes a minute. The SATA III interface (6 Gbps) is the standard for this type of SSD – compatible with most modern systems, but not as fast as an NVMe drive.
