Palmer River – passive line insulation box against hum
The Palmer River interrupts ground connections between audio devices using two isolation transformers. This eliminates ground loops – without power supply.
The device provides galvanic isolation per channel. In practice, this means: compensation currents via the audio lines are stopped, eliminating hum and high-frequency 'crackle'. However, this is a specific troubleshooting tool – you only use it when noise occurs between source and amplifier.
The inputs and outputs are RCA connectors, standard for hi-fi and consumer equipment. The housing is made of aluminium and steel for durability. An erasable tour label is included for professional use.
