The DiamondClean 9000 from Philips Sonicare combines sonic technology with smart sensors. The result: a toothbrush that not only cleans, but also guides.
The handle works with vibrating sonic movements – 62,000 brush strokes per minute. That's a different principle from rotating brushes: the bristles vibrate at high speed, loosening plaque without you having to press hard. The built-in pressure sensor warns you with a vibration if you're applying too much force. According to Philips, seven out of ten users adjusted their technique after this feedback.
The set includes two handles and two C3 Premium Plaque Defense brush heads. The soft, curved bristles follow the contours of your teeth – Philips claims 4x more surface contact. The battery lasts up to two weeks with normal use. Charging is done via the included charging glass or charging stand. Note: the brush heads have a hard bristle firmness.
