The PS VR2 is built around an OLED display with 4K HDR visuals and a 110° field of view. That delivers sharp, vivid images – but it does require a PlayStation 5 console.
The OLED display runs at 120 Hz. In practice: smooth motion with no noticeable lag. The headset uses positional tracking via the cameras – no external sensors needed. It is wired: the connection to the PS5 runs through a single USB-C cable. That limits freedom of movement but keeps setup simple.
The PlayStation VR2 Sense technology combines eye tracking, headset feedback, and 3D audio. The two included Sense controllers have 16 buttons in total and are rechargeable via USB-C. The headset fits over glasses and has a volume control. Earbuds in three sizes are included.
